Retulp
To tackle the plastic soup at its source and reduce disposable packaging, Retulp aims to inspire as many people as possible to choose attractive and reusable alternatives. Retulp is a sustainable Social Enterprise and founded in 2014 to carry out this mission. In doing so, Retulp partners with the World Wildlife Fund, Club Kakatua, Made Blue and a number of other charities. When you purchase a Retulp bottle, you ensure that someone elsewhere drinks with you. In fact, Retulp donates 1,000 times its contents, per Retulp bottle, to drinking water in developing countries. Over the past 7 years, Retulp has ensured that over 100 million liters of clean drinking water has been donated to people in Africa and Indonesia. Under the control of Aqua for All, the donations are invested in water projects run by: Amref Flying Doctors, The Red Cross, Simavi and World Vision.
Join the Pipe
Reduce plastic waste and clean drinking water for everyone. That's the mission of Join the Pipe. They are committed to a world with less plastic waste, and where everyone, anywhere in the world, has access to safe drinking water. By drinking tap water from reusable bottles and promoting refill stations, Join the Pipe aims to reduce the use of plastic. With the proceeds from Join the Pipe products, they set up drinking water and clean-up projects in developing countries. They also hand out water bottles for better hygiene or to take water to school.
Ocean bottle
Ocean Bottle creates products made partly from stainless steel and partly from recycled plastic found in the ocean. Ocean Bottle wanted to create a bottle that would last a lifetime, be easy to recycle and never compromise on impact. Depending on where a bottle is delivered and which model it is, an Ocean Bottle product emits between 2.8 and 4.5 kg of Co2 from cradle to grave, which is about the same amount as a 1 kg bag of rice. For every Ocean Bottle sold, Ocean Bottle collects 11.368 kg (25.06 lbs) of plastic to prevent it from entering the ocean. That is equivalent to more than 1,000 plastic bottles (500 ml single-wall PET bottles - the average small water bottle). Together with partners around the world, new collection points are being rolled out in places where plastic pollution is worst, allowing local residents to exchange plastic for cash and access social resources such as health care, education, mental health care and financial security. Ocean Bottle partners with Plastic Bank, Plastics for Change and Repurpose Global to ensure that funds are transferred to plastic collectors in the most efficient, fair and regulated manner.
